Platinum & Diamonds
The Metal
Platinum is the world's most precious jewellery metal — rarer than gold, heavier than silver, and naturally white. Its hypoallergenic properties make it ideal for sensitive skin, while its density ensures that diamonds are held securely for a lifetime.
Unlike white gold, platinum never needs rhodium replating. Its colour is inherent, a cool lustrous white that grows more beautiful with age, developing a distinctive patina that jewellers call "platinum character."
Certified Excellence
Every PT Mine diamond comes with a grading report from an accredited international gemological laboratory. These certificates provide complete disclosure of your diamond's characteristics — so you know exactly what you're investing in.
Our platinum is independently hallmarked at 950 parts per thousand purity — the highest international standard for platinum jewellery.
Diamond Knowledge
Every diamond in a PT Mine piece is selected against the international 4C framework. These four characteristics determine a diamond's beauty and value.
A diamond's cut determines how brilliantly it sparkles. Our diamonds are cut to Excellent or Very Good grades — maximising every facet's interaction with light.
Colourless diamonds (D–F) are the rarest and most prized. PT Mine selects diamonds in the D–H colour range — perceptibly white to the naked eye.
Clarity refers to the absence of inclusions and blemishes. We select diamonds from FL (Flawless) to SI2 — with the majority being eye-clean to the naked eye.
Carat is the unit of weight for diamonds (1 carat = 200mg). PT Mine offers a broad range of carat weights — each matched to the piece's design intent.
